The Financial Aid and Scholarships office awards financial aid packages to applicants for whom an official need analysis has been performed. Utilizing both need-based and non-need based funding sources, financial aid packages are provided to assist families in meeting the costs associated with attending UCLA. Financial aid packages consist of one or more of the follow types of aid:
Grants are awarded on the basis of financial need and do not have to be repaid.Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded for financial achievement, financial need, community activities, work experience and more.Loans
You can choose from a variety of loans that are offered by federal and state governments, as well as private lenders.Work-Study
Work-Study is a need-based form of Financial Aid that you earn through on or off-campus employment and receive in the form of a paycheck.
