Starting with the 2025-26 academic year, the Bruin Financial Aid system has replaced the mainframe financial aid management system. For background on this project, we encourage you to visit the FACET Program website.

The Bruin Financial Aid Portal (BFAP) allows campus partners access to students’ financial aid information by allowing the user to experience the system as students do.

If you require access to BFAP, please review the process below:

  1. Staff work with their department DSA, who must submit a System Access Request (SAR) through Service Now for the staff member.
  2. In the SAR, the DSA must:
    • Select the Financial Aid Functions option.
    • Attach a copy of the staff member's FERPA training completion email.
    • Confirm the staff member has completed the required Bruin Financial Aid Tutorial.
    • Request access to BFA Tableau Reporting.

Once the SAR is submitted:

  • The UCLA Financial Aid and Scholarships DSA will review the request.
  • They will verify completion of the required prerequisites before granting access.

If staff have questions about access or navigating BFAP please reach out to UCLA Financial Aid and Scholarships via MyUCLA Message Center using the topic “Financial Aid for Undergraduate/Graduate students." For questions regarding training and office hours, please contact facet@it.ucla.edu.
