25/26 Upload Documents and Submit Appeals via the Bruin Financial Aid Portal

UCLA students (continuing and new admits who submitted their Student Intent to Register) will upload required documentation or appeals for the 25/26 academic year using the Bruin Financial Aid Portal.

If you received a request to submit a Statement of Identity & Educational Purpose for the 25/26 academic year, please refer to page 2 of the form for instructions on how to submit the form to our office. For compliance reasons, this form cannot be emailed or uploaded via the Bruin Financial Aid Portal.

Third Party Access

According to the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), students in higher education institutions are considered to be adults with exclusive rights over their student records. Students are the only ones who can authorize the release of information from their student records, including their financial records via Third Party Access.

Loan Origination Calculator Tool

Each Direct Loan is subject to an origination fee by the Department of Education. The Origination fee is a percentage of the total amount you will be borrowing and deducted proportionately from each disbursement of your loan. We have constructed this calculator so that you can better understand the origination fee as it will affect the final disbursement amount of your loan.

If you are a newly admitted student who has not submitted your Statement of Intent to Register and want to submit an appeal with Financial Aid and Scholarships, please submit your appeal and supporting documentation via documentation via the MyUCLA Message Center under the “Financial Aid: Newly Admitted- Submit Documents” queue.
