Third Party AccessAccording to the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), students in higher education institutions are considered to be adults with exclusive rights over their student records. Students are the only ones who can authorize the release of information from their student records, including their financial records via Third Party Access.

If you are a newly admitted student who has not submitted your Statement of Intent to Register and want to submit an appeal with Financial Aid & Scholarships, please submit your appeal and supporting documentation via documentation via the MyUCLA Message Center under the “Financial Aid: Newly Admitted- Submit Documents” queue.
